Forgiveness

If you, O Lord, should mark iniquities, O Lord, who could stand?
But with you there is forgiveness, that you may be feared. – Psalm 130:3-4

Thank you Jesus that I am not MARKED with my failures and sins, but marked with The Blood of Jesus upon my heart. For without the shed blood of Jesus Christ upon my heart, surely I would fall. But we find forgiveness and Beauty for Ashes for all of those found in Christ.

The mercy seat was a place in the Holy of Holies where the High Priest of Jerusalem would go every year, after all of Israel had confessed their sins to him. He would speak the sins of all Israel upon the mercy seat of the ark of God’s covenant and then an unblemished lamb’s blood would be poured over it. Then, when God would look down to view all the wrongdoings of Israel, all He would see was the shed blood of the lamb.

Today when God looks down upon my sin, and satan accuses me with judgemental attack, all God sees is the shed blood of our perfect Lamb in Jesus Christ. I am robed in His righteousness, not mine own works.

Becasue of this, not only am I able to stand, or walk but I may now run, not only with the footman but with the horses of contention. I may finish my race well!

I have and continue to find forgiveness, and I am able to rightly fear or better yet revere and respect my God and my Savior, casting all crowns and accomplishments down at the feet of the only One worthy of my worship and adoration.

With bent knee and bowed heart, I am able to truly worship The King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

Thank You Jesus!
